About Dr. Ritu Khare
Dr. Ritu Khare is a practicing surgeon in the UAE for the last 19 years. She earned her Master's in Surgery from KEM Hospital, Mumbai in the year 2000, and thereafter completed her super-specialization in Gastrointestinal Surgery from Sanjay Gandhi PGI, Lucknow. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow.
She is a recognized member of the American College of Breast Surgeons. She has also trained in laparoscopic abdominal surgery at the Institute of Laparoscopic Surgery in Bordeaux, France, and has been a visiting faculty at Weill Cornell Medical Centre, New York.
Dr. Khare was the General Secretary of the Emirates Society of Laparo-endoscopic Surgeons and was commended for the "Young Surgeon of the Year Award" at the Arab Health Congress in 2012. As a female surgeon she has provided service to the region and is highly regarded in her field. She is an active member of the Emirates Society of Oncology.
