Neurological Physiotherapy
Neurological physiotherapy is specialised care that improves quality of life for people living with neurological conditions such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis and spinal-cord injuries. Our therapists help you regain movement, balance and independence through structured, evidence-based rehabilitation.
About our Neurological Physiotherapy programme
Neurological physiotherapy focuses on the nervous system and how it controls movement. After a stroke, brain injury, or with a progressive condition like Parkinson’s or MS, the pathways that coordinate walking, balance and fine movement are disrupted — our programme retrains them through repetition, challenge and skilled hands-on guidance.
Your first appointment includes a detailed assessment of your strength, tone, coordination, balance and walking pattern. From there we build a plan combining gait and balance retraining, neuro-developmental techniques, functional task practice and home exercise — progressed steadily as you improve.
We coordinate with your neurologist and, where relevant, our other specialists so your rehabilitation stays aligned with your wider medical care.
